This is a commercial Mauser pistol, imported from China. Mose commercial production of the 1896 ended up in china between the wars. Over all condition is fair to good, mechanically complete, and an operations check shows no particular problems. The extractor is intact, and so is the firing pin. The grips appear original, but there is some rust pitting to the frame behind them. The number on the bolt does not match the frame, but there are no other numbers anywhere on the gun. There is a faint remainder of rifling in the bore, but it would still probably be an okay shooter. Take care with these, as these actions are famous for being a bit dubious.
