This is a Spanish Model 1943 short rifle. It is fairly clean, and the receiver carries the markings of the Spanish Air Force. The bolt matches the receiver. This is a model 1898 style action, so it is reliable and strong. Everything works as it should, and a basic operations check shows no issues. The bore is a bit rough, it has fair rifling, but it is pitted front to back. Might clean up if you fired it then cleaned it; never the less, it would probably make an okay shooter, just not much for accuracy. Over all a lesser rifle, but none the less a variation in the Mauser bloodline.
