This is the first time that I have ever gotten a woodsman in that has had so much with it. The pistol its self is in outstanding condition. It has been used, but very well taken care of. It has had one owner, it was bought from the son of the one who originally bought it new. The finish is worn off the rear of the grip in exactly the shape of a palm, so clearly this was a favorite item. It is mechanicly perfect with no problems, and has an excellent bore. It comes with two original 2-tone magazines, as well as the original matching box.
Along with the box are a number of envelopes containing small parts that were placed in a draw string postal-bag with an address lable from colt. The post mark on the lable is 1948. In addition there are to booklets, one appears to be a later one, and one looks like the original. Lastly are some odd ticket stubs that I have no idea what they are. None the less, this is an outstanding set that should be kept together, and someone should be glad to find this.
