Colt 1911 Pistol, WW1 Commemorative w/Case; .45ACP
Price: $1495.00
I am not certain which firm put this pistol out. I do not think that it is the American Historical Foundation, but I could be wrong. The pistol it's self is an actual Colt. The serial number ends in "CT" meaning "Chateau-Thierry." This example is likely from the late 1970s through the Mid-80s. I had some degree of trouble researching this. I doubt that it has hardly been handled in the last 20 to 30 years. You can see where some of the foam pad protecting the grip has come off and is sticking to the gun, but I don't dare clean it off for fear of being accused of "altering" things. The gun is engraved on both sides, and comes complete with it's illustrated display case. The drawing was clearly done by an artist that only had pictures of British troops as reference. Over all it is a very nice piece, and would make a fun addition to any collection. Shipping and handling will be $50.
