This is a very scarce early automatic made by Steyer. The design is from the Mannlicher firm, and is one of the many early attempts at a Military automatic. This gun has somewhat of a tragic past as something that no one wanted. Many of them went to Argentina, but this one does not appear to be part of that contract. It is in good working order, however the finish is pretty much gone, and there is scattered pitting over the surface. Over all, it is a representative peice.
