 Spain was one of the last countries to continue to issue Mausers to it's military past the 1/2 mark of the 20th Century. These inocuous looking rifles are probably the final military evolution of the 8mm 1898 mausers being adopted in 1954. This one is in reasonable condition, definatly shootable, and comes complete with it's original sling. Also, the added bayonet lug is a distictive design of these rifles. Over all, this is an often overlooked rifle, and it a must have addition to any military mauser collection.

Below is a 1950s period photograph of the Mauser as issued. Behind the Soldato featured, you can clearly see the added bayonet lug distinctive to this rifle.
